Commissioned Card

I was asked to make a menu card for a friend, who, will be taking exams soon for catering. The card theme was a first wedding anniversary, for some reason I thought of hearts and white, so the swans came into view. Then I thought of netting for veil and roses for love and bouquet. This was the end product. The insert contained the meal for the evening, I am now thinking maybe I can arrange for this young chap to come and cook for me....lol.

Mother's Day

It will soon be Mother's Day for the UK so I got down to making some cards, I wanted to do cards with flowers, and the theme I was looking for was a pink and deep lilac. I could not get silk flowers from craft shop in the style I wanted so decided to buy a cheep bunch from local shop, then sat pulling them all apart...lol. I added a sequin style middle and all was held together with a gold brad.

Then found a template for a handbag and made it much smaller by resizing on the pc, and cut it out of backing paper to match the background paper. Tag I already had from a craft magazine, the tiny flowers were sent to me from USA, thank you to Gail for those. I am pleased with the end product. The second one I cannot show just yet but will add next week, as its for my mother in law who looks on this blog...lol.

Happy crafting all

Scrapbooking Albums

I love to work on my scrapbookat present time I am working on a family tree scrapbook, to keep in the family. After many years of researching my family tree, thought it would be great to add photographs and information about my past ancestors. I try to work on a page once a month or when time allows, here is a sample of one of my pages indicating the family names. Each page is dedicated to a family name, incorporating photographs of the family members. Those going back in time where I do not have photographs I have adapted this by using past historical events or fashion. I really enjoy making these pages, they are fun and you can let your imagination go wild.

Easter Bunny Card

This cute Easter card I found in a magazine booklet, as I was thinking of doing something slightly different I decided to make it into my own personal touch. I had to make it without any templates as in the magazine the card was made with ready made templates. So I got down to some serious designing and came up with the one shown here!
Whats next on the agenda.....lol.

Friendship Teapot card

Thanks to Becca who supplied me with the template for the friendship teapot, I had a fun time creating this cute little card. I sent it to my friend who had been unwell and placed the teabag inside with the complementing verse....

I wish we could sit down together and have a cup of tea!
But as we can't, when you have this one, I hope you think of me!

My friend called me that evening to say how delighted she was to get such a sweet card.
