Garden of Senses canvas

My latest mixed media canvas, relating to the Summer garden. As Summer is ending now I wanted to add a bit of Autumn. I really miss the garden in the Winter the warmth of the sun and birds in the waterfall. Inspired by the music of Vangelis Album page of life with the song Garden of Senses. The Canvas has a multi effect using tissue paper, chipboard shapes, modelling paste and much more. I used Tattered Angels spray ink Meadow green with a hint of white acrylic paint to give it the softer colour. For the darker shades of Pinks I used a blend of Raisin alcohol ink with white acrylic paint and perfect pearls clear. Some of the flowers are made in air drying clay others are of paper.

Little 'Love Nest'

A plain wooden hanging bird house, I thought when I see it I can do something with these. I added some embossed paper using my tree carving folder for the main part, then added die cuts for the roof. Added some plain white roses with a die cut leaves think it was from the Tim Holtz range for the pine cone. I found a little wooden bird and attached. Gesso all over then added some tattered angels shimmer spray in green and cranberry. I used Pinflare pearl wand to make the tiny beads.

The bird I used a mix of cranberry shimmer spray with Artiste blush pearlised acrylic paint, made by Do crafts.

Enjoyed this little project completed by attaching ribbon to hang with a pretty bead.

Birdie mixed media canvas

I quite liked the idea of creating a canvas that would help to
cover the bare walls in my craft room. Strange for a crafter
to have but yes I have bare walls in my crafting room.

I like the idea of using mixed media and the end result is in
the picture. Starting with a plain white background, I added layers of shapes and lots of tissue paper. Covered the whole
canvas with gesso and then added some spray inks. These inks tattered angels in forest green and cranberry, I added a little pearlised paint and this was the end result. Iused plain white flowers with a couple of pink then covered with gesso and let dry. Once dried I added some colour to the flowers using more inks then added a dry brushed coating of gesso,

Loved making this canvas another on the go too,

Happy crafting all

Greeting Gift Tags

I thought for a change I would create some large tags that
can be given as a gift rather than a card for birthday
greetings. I found some really lovely wording and worked
to represent the verse by using items and colour to match.
The image was the end result. These are more personal in a way rather than giving a card they can be kept as well as hung in a bedroom or placed in a frame on the wall.
I have made more and will place them in my flickr album.

Enjoyed a week of making these.

Pro Markers

Recently I have been using Pro Marker pens and using digital image  graphics for my cards. I also use Spectrum Noir pens these work well with the pro markers. This card I made for a friends birthday. Using 8x8 size card and backing papers cut to slightly smaller. I used same range of colours to match the image colours. Adding floral leaves die cut and paper flowers.

I love greens with pinks seems to set it the image off pretty well I thought.

Happy Crafting

Christmas 2012

After some time of crafting on mini books I finally got down to creating some extra special christmas cards for my family. With success of owning a die cut machine at last, after such a long wait. Thanks to my Mum and Dad who sent me some money as a gift for my birthday, I put it all together to get my machine, just in time for christmas...lol. I love it..I bought the big shot and I am very impressed by it. So here is to making much more this year. At present time I am into making another mini wedding album for a friend, this time black white and cream theme..I love it so will post on here when I have put some pages together. Until then happy crafting all
